MIT Nimbus
MITNimbus is a new limited-edition MIT graduate ring. This ring is the product of the collaborative design and engineering efforts of Pluck Innovations and MIT’s Gradrat Committee. The ring is comprised of four individual bands that interlock using three pins. The base band (MIT Band) is inscribed with MIT and serves as a receptor for the pins. The other three bands (Life Bands) are inscribed with the academic years, degrees, and schools. The Life Bands can be rotated and combined to produce around 82 combinations. When the three Life Bands are successfully aligned with the MIT Band, the ring decodes each student’s academic life at MIT in terms of year, degree, and school (MIT Life-Combo).
NuVu Studio
NuVu is a place of innovation where middle and high school students join together with experts from MIT and Harvard to create new views of the world. Every semester we focus on a different topic, such as “the Future City”, “Games and Magic”, or “Science Fictions”, and encourage students to explore, design, invent, and get messy in a studio environment designed for and by the kids.
Hugah
Hugah is an online service that makes home exchange easy and accessible to its members by building trust within the network and creating a point exchange system enabling asynchronous home stays. Hugah’s ultimate goal is to reduce wasted (unused) property while making travel more enjoyable and affordable to all.
